ATLANTIS
is a supervisory and control system. It allows integrating
the millions of data coming from multiple remote centres through
various communications lines that are managed in parallel
by various protocols. It has been developed while considering
the current trends and most advanced techniques of open systems,
thereby allowing integration with other centres of superior
hierarchy, and specifically taking into account all CENELEC
regulations and the panEuropean interoperability requirements
that are required for Conventional and High Speed Railway
Materials.
LogyTel has found in ATLANTIS as a data and real-time information
acquisition, storage and processing system an application
associated with variables that have an impact on the processes
related not only with railway electrification but also with
applications related to the supervision and control of large
telecommunications, gas, water and electricity networks and
infrastructures.
Functionally, ATLANTIS consists of a Communications Executive
that manages the message traffic between the field elements
and the application levels; a Data Acquisition System for
real-time updates of the database and logs through the information
obtained; a Graphic Interface for Operations, Administration
and Downloading that offers the operator the necessary resources
in order to perform the supervision, control and updating
of the control network; and applications for managing the
historical information in accordance with customer needs.
The following are some of the most relevant characteristics:
modular, customer/server architecture based on TCP/IP and
RPC. Executable on UNIX and developed in ANSI C and C++ with
verifiable and error-resistant programs, thereby taking advantage
of the IEEE POSIX real-time functionalities. ORACLE relational
database for real-time storage of data, logs and alarms.
