The LogyTel FOCOLED product is an element that, while forming a part of a railway infrastructure, has been specifically designed for lateral illuminated signalling on High Speed rail lines.

The product is made using high-luminosity and high-performance LED diodes that provide the railway signalling infrastructure with notable advantages over equipment based on incandescent lamps as regards luminosity, consumption, useful life and maintenance.

The Focoled consists of an electronic LED diode support board that has the mission of maintaining a constant luminosity within the operating range; an electronic control circuit that is responsible for operating and protecting the equipment within the specified tension and current range; and a mechanical, “ad hoc” assembly that is tested against the elements and for extreme climatic conditions.

From an operational and performance point of view, the following characteristics are highlights of the Focoled:

• Day and night differentiated luminosity.
• Burned-out bulb detection, both the “day” and “night” functions, through the detection of a drop in the current consumed.
• A useful life that exceeds 10 years with permanent, 24-hour operation.

Physically, the product is presented as five lights with different chromatic looks: red, blue, white, yellow and green.

The Focoled is compatible with electronic interlocks (ENCE) and the ASFA system interface.

From a regulatory point of view, the Focoled has been made in accordance with the CENELEC EN 50126 and EN 50129 standards, with a SIL 4 safety integrity level.

The maintenance required is minimal and simple, given its design, configuration, useful life and the physical environment of high-speed lines.

The LogyTel Focoled product, based on high-luminosity LED technology, is used in applications for illuminated vertical signalling for both railway infrastructures (High Speed and Low and Medium Density Traffic Lines) and for signalling infrastructures attached to the railway traffic, whether urban or inter-urban.
