The
Logytel AC 01 auscultator belongs to the family of auscultators
that allow measuring the geometry of the catenary wire. Its
main function is to therefore measure the height and offset
of the catenary wire with respect to the centre-line of the
track.
The
product allows measuring or identifying other, physical and
geometric auxiliary parameters: rocking, core crush, lateral
correction, the identification of curves, the identification
of posts or other lateral objects, and the identification
of the kilometre markers where it is located. In addition,
this product is designed with an event button and an input
for connecting the tachometer of the vehicle.
Positioning
potentiometer sensors are used for measuring the height. For
measuring the offset, the position of the wire is detected
using inductive proximity sensors. Both the height measurement
and the offset measurement are obtained by applying, in real
time, all corrections for the primary and secondary suspensions
of the vehicle, as well as for the movement of the frame or
fixed structure of the vehicle with respect to the wheels.
The
auscultation takes place with the catenary line under power
and up to a maximum speed of 120 km/h, whereby the product
can be installed on any vehicle that has a pantograph, and
it is valid for any track width and use: AVE (Spanish High
Speed Train), Conventional High Speed, and Low and Medium
Density Traffic Lines.
A
computer application generates a log of alarms that occur
during the auscultation, thereby indicating the kind of alarm
and the exact place where the same occurred.
From
a regulatory point of view, the product complies with all
applicable CENELEC regulations and regulations for railway
materials. The product does not require maintenance of any
kind, although verification of the sensory system using master
devices is recommended once per year.
